I raced at the Sharm for first time ever.

I raced 13.5 Rubber class but with a 17.5 motor, with new Tekin 203 17.5 fast enough for indoor track especially on the carpet.
day start well with so much steering on my car I can barley touch my steering, I ended up with 60 wt oil, 17.5lb spring on the front 35wt, 12.5 on rear. every thing else was kinda normal, low roll center 1.75deg rr camber 1deg front camber etc.
in qualifying I kinda struggled to get rid of steering then in main my buddy told me car ran better without any sauce on the tires so I did..big mistakes..
hes car is a Photon which have lots more traction then my Losi and I had no traction or I should say not enough grip on front.
I struggled to steer in that A main race only to finish almost to dead last.
I gotta keep thinking in combination of everything instead of just narrowed down any circumstance.
another valuable lesson learned at the new place.
I will be better next time!
It was good to race with you hyung. But I won't be going to any more carpet races (I actually stopped going in December). Too much stress and 0 fun.
ReplyDeleteI hear ya, it took me long time to get used to the rug last year, then I went back to the Sharm only to find out I heed to start all over again.
